Hardware and Software

To achieve lowest possible cost, highest performance, and highest reliability, ETS has developed and manufactures in house all the electronics control hardware and software for RSP™, TRIOTEK™, Cureflow™ and other proprietary thermal processing equipment. Distributed control concepts are employed where practical to maximize flexibility, reliability, modularity and usage in all product line offerings including RSP™, TRIOTEK™ and Cureflow™. Examples include Watts control and RHA control. Several ETS developed electronic devices are used within the RSP™, TRIOTEK™ and Cureflow™ Systems or offered independently as stand alone products. An example includes DeltaSpy™. An external laptop or desktop PC (often the selective soldering robot PC) communicates directly with RSP™ embedded controller board via ETS provided software.

All PC software is written in POSIX Compliant ANSI C to enable maximum compatibility with potential third party software and to ensure cross-platform compatibility (Microsoft, Macintosh and Unix Variants). Assembly language software is employed with all ETS developed hardware to maximize the speed, flexibility and efficiency of software routines. RSP™ Software may be switched back and forth from foreground to background status as the user desires. It is often practical to employ the PC of another up/downline piece of equipment to control the thermal processing system.
